    How do I stop background apps from automatically stopping when I lock my PC in windows 11


    Basically, whenever I lock my PC it suspends background apps that control my PC's lighting, resetting it to its default colors, how do I stop that.

    3d display stopping in background

    When I have another window in the forground, the background ATI TOOL .24b stops rendering. I sometimes want to stress the card while I am doing other things. I am running 2 monitors and enableing it to render in the "background" would be fantastic!

    Currently it only renders if I move another window around, as soon as I stop moving it, it stops rendering.

    How to stop core apps and apps from updating in the background

    Hi,

    Changing or disabling the automatic updates for the core apps (Windows apps) and other programs may affect the performance of your computer. Microsoft recommends each computer that's running a Windows OS to be updated to experience the latest and best features.
    It's also the reason why automatic updates are turned on by default. However, "there's always an exemption to the rule" that's what they say. If you really want to stop your apps to update during start-up, you may do it via
    Services. Here are the steps on how to do so:

    • Search for Services.
    • Look for Windows Update.
    • Right-click, then choose Properties.
    • Click STOP, then Apply and OK.
    • Close the Services window.

    You may need to restart the computer for the changes to take effect. We suggest that you check this
