How do I stop unnecessary duplicate headings for emails?

I am getting duplicate emails.

Thank you for providing a link. I reviewed the page so I know the exact steps performed, but I didn't see anything that would explain why the emails are duplicating. I have some additional questions as to how you have your email accounts set up.



By chance are any of your email accounts forwarding to another one of your accounts? If so, is the account the emails are forwarding to also listed under email + accounts?



If they are that would certainly explain why emails are duplicating and turning forwarding options off should stop the duplicates. I'll be researching other possibilities as well.

Thanks for the prompt response answers are as follows:

1. I used Outlook as then if I want to keep messages I drag and drop to appropriate folder on my desktop using windows 10
2. My email is directed thru Outlook
3. I don’t think I explained myself clearly – I want to keep duplicate subject matter providing they have a different originating date and/or time for example I might get several headings with a message heading “completed contract” but will be part of
   a series of email on the same matter – I would like to drag and drop all emails without the message ”duplicate” occurring as I would like to keep all conversations

Hope I explained it clearly enough – the message “duplicate – do you want to replace” needs only to refer to true duplicates not same title different date and/or time files if possible.

Thank you for the update. I don't believe I've seen the article you mentioned, can you provide us the address for it? Once we're able to look through the steps she lists in the article we should be able to better clarify why these emails are duplicating.
