Windows 10: How do I stop duplicate links posting in history and on back button?

Issue just started happening in the last few days since 1/10/23 . I go to a site with or without a bookmark and that link is posted multiple times to my history. Also, sometimes the sub-links within the site get posted multiple times. This means that the back button is useless. right click on back button shows multiple postings. This does not seem to happen with all sites but does with Google, Yahoo, AOL, Outlook/MSN and some news sites like NJ.com. Problems with File History

Hi George,

It could be the File History settings are corrupt or the older version of files is not getting saved properly. We need to do further investigation on your concern so that we can identify the cause of the issue. Kindly answer the following questions for clarification:

• Which build of Windows 10 are you using? To know about it, hit
  Start, type Winver and then press
  Enter. You could also press Windows Key + R, type
  Winver into the
  Run dialog and press Enter.
• Were there any changes on your computer prior to the issue? Any troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Furthermore, we suggest you to follow the below steps to start and stop the services
Windows backup first, here are the steps:

• Press “Windows+R” and in the run command box, type “services.msc.”
• Search for the service “Windows Backup,” double click on it and check whether the service is
  started or not.
• Click the “OK” button. We suggest that you to stop and start the service again.

Then, the volume shadow copy:

• Search for the service “Volume shadow copy,” double click on it and check whether the service is
  started or not.
• We suggest you to stop and start the service again.
• Click on “OK” button and check whether you can perform backup successfully.

"All apps" Button not working - Where are links stored?


At some point my "All apps" button has stopped working. Clicking on it causes the apps list to flash very very briefly then dumps me back to home screen. Everything else seems to work OK.
Anyone know where the links in that list of apps is stored? I'm thinking one of the links is broken causing the whole list to shut down, and if I remove links from the list one by one I can find it. That's the only thing I can think to try.
Unfortunately no restore points exist and Repair tools like Startup Repair Etc. does not help.
Any other Ideas / Suggestions would also be greatly appreciated.
