Windows 10: HOW DO I STOP HOST PROCESS FOR WINDOWS FROM USING MY MICROPHONE AND CAUSES ECHO

hello, i am using the latest version of windows 10. the mic on my pc keep producing echo and it really gets annoying which i have to mute it all the time. tried turning off the mic access already but still doesn't work. and also it is saying that Host process for windows service is currently using the microphone. does anyone know how do i stop them? i cant even use the xbox game bar right now due to this. thank you

Hi, in reply to previous correspondents. I tried the Forum suggested by 'jdc1' and while there have been many viewers there is no suggestion of remedy - so far.
Searching further in this matter I find that a similar post also appears in this Forum - see here:

and once again many viewers but no remedy.

Where there are numerous complainants for this problem. There is one reply ( to-date) of a suggested solution by Microsoft which appears not to be the cure and quite a few more insistent*Devil posts for Microsoft to get this sorted.
The posts themselves include suggested cures like sfc/scannow and DISM which I like many others have tried to no avail. There seems to be a strong leaning towards blaming the 1903 update for this error. One person does indicate a solution which worked for him which is to via System & Storage to click the box to run now and remove earlier Windows Updates. I have just tried this myself and will report the result within the next few days.
Other correspondents are awaiting for further answers in the 'Community' from Microsoft.
So once again time will tell but it would appear that Microsoft are dragging their heels on this one.

Echo when using Microphone Windows 10

I have a really annoying problem with sound from my Dell all-in-one 2330 Windows 10 PC. Whenever a microphone is in use my PC emits an Echo from the speakers. Normal sound e.g. playing music files or sound from a video is perfectly fine.

I have tried different settings ….. suggestions from other users on line …re-installing drivers ….. including Realtek drivers …..Driving me MAD cos nothing will stop this absolutely bloody annoying Echo.

Any Help or any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
