    How do I stop "Let Windows track app launches to improve Start and search results" from...


    In settings, general, change privacy options, there is one option that keeps turning back on EVERYTIME I turn it off. It is the "Let Windows track app launches to improve Start and search results". Everything else in this "change privacy options" menu stays switched off but that one option always switches back on when I restart.

    Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately I have the "Let Windows track app launches to improve Start and search results" option greyed out (..."some settings hidden/managed by your organizaition"). Registry trick doesn't help, Start_TrackProgs is already set to 1. I'd really appreciate any help on this since I couldn't find a fix/workaround.

    App auto duplicates when added to start menu.

    Hello Augiz, and welcome to Ten Forums. How do I stop "Let Windows track app launches to improve Start and search results" from... :)

    Usually when the Show most used apps setting is grayed out, you will need to turn on Let Windows track app launches to improve Start and search results.

    You might try to "Pin to Start" the game from within the "All apps" list in the Start menu instead to see if that will only give you one.
