How do I stop letting apps download for both sides of the users?

There are only two accounts on my pc. One of them is an Admin and the other is just the Standard. I am the Standard user and every time when I download an app that wants to make changes on my pc, it always downloads onto the other user once I put the admin's password. For example, if I were to download Steam on my user, it would show up on User 2. But when I delete that app on User 2, it would end up deleting my copy of the app on my user. How do I stop the sharing that is going on between here?

    :)

Windows Defender Blocking Installations of Downloaded Apps

    Hi Craig,

There's a possibility that the SmartScreen option is on that's why you're unable to install downloaded apps. Let's try to turn it off and see if it helps. See the steps below:

    • Open Windows Defender Security Center from your Start menu, desktop, or taskbar.
    • Click on the App and browser control button on the left side of the window.
    • Click on Off in the Check apps and files section.

Let us know if the suggestion helps you out.
