Windows 10: How do I stop Microsoft forcing me to log-in computer with micorosft account on Windows 11 ?

Certain random days after booting up my windows PC used for Gaming and Rending Art which is my own build and isn't owned by Microsoft, that is , it isnt Microsoft Hardware like Surface etc.. A white nag screen since I have my Windows in dark mode comes blasting at me in my face forcing me to use a Microsoft ID on this computer when I do not want to. I only want to log in with a Local account for that PC. How do I disable this please ? ... It has now decreased the delay "another time" to 3 days now ... until they lock me out from using the computer ? What the hell ? I don't want it and I don

Strange Windows 10 User Account issue.

Unfortunately I had done those steps numerous reboots, it just, reappears for no good reason. The base account isn't even a Microsoft account, it's a local account.

I haven't quite tried the built in administrator account on W10, but so far in my experience on my own computer, the built in account seemed to have absolutely no more control than I did on my own.

It's just strange, I go in, it warns me twice about deleting the account, then it's gone. Reboot, and it's back?

EDIT: Just to specify, both command line and Netplwiz both say only HIS account exists on the computer, it doesn't list this rogue account. This is what I meant in my first post about the fact that even Windows doesn't seem to believe it exists, HALF the time. *Frown

 

register PC with microsoft; use local account to log in

Just simply log in with your Microsoft Account.
Switch to Microsoft Account in Windows 10

Just go back to using a local account:
Switch to Local Account in Windows 10

Logging in to Win 11 with Microsoft Account

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

It is true that you need to use a Microsoft Account to set up Windows 11, but you can then change that account back to a local account not associated to a Microsoft Account after Windows 11 is set up.

Open the Settings App, then go to Accounts - Your Info

There, you should find an option to 'Stop using this account to automatically log into apps'

Selecting that option will change the account to a local account.
