Windows 10: how do i stop my laptop from logging my account out everytime i close the lid?

whenever i close the lid of my laptop, it logs me out and when i open it again it makes me log into my microsoft account to access my laptop. before it used to only ask for the pin, now it asks to login via pin & password or email/phone & password. how do i get it to stop doing this?

in Power Options, let's try to make hibernation unavailable. Follow these steps:

• Right-click on the Windows icon on your home screen.
• Select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Click Yes if you get a prompt window.
• Type powercfg.exe /hibernate off then press Enter.

See if this will prevent the laptop from hibernating when you close the lid.

How to force shutdown on laptop lid close ?

I want to force a shutdown when the user close the laptop lid even if MSWord is open and the document was not saved.
Any suggestion ?

Stop laptop display turning off when closing lid

Hi,

I have a laptop connected to an external display via HDMI.

I want to stop the laptop display turning off when closing the lid and everything moving to the secondary monitor.

If I had a single monitor it's easy enough to stop the display turning off when closing the lid through power settings.

However, with dual-monitors I cannot see a way to stop the laptop display turning off and just letting me close the lid.

Can anyone help please?
