Windows 10: How do I stop my PC from resetting my mouse settings every time i turn on my computer...

For a couple of weeks now every time after I had started up my PC and opened any website or app I would notice how slowly it was scrolling up and down. After some time it got really annoying and I went into the settings and found what I needed to adjust for my mouse to scroll faster. After I did that it worked fine, until the next time I turned on my PC. And since then every time I would boot up my PC the mouse settings would be restored to default.I was wondering if anyone has or had the same problem and if you could help me? Or is this a bug in Windows 11 that is known and being worked on?Th

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• Navigate to Start>Settings>Devices.
• Click on Mouse and Touchpad.
• In the right pane, click on Additional Mouse Settings.
• Under Pointer tab, Click on Use Default.
• Click on Apply and OK.

mouse is not working right


unfortunately there isn't a lot to a usb mouse. what i would suggest is checking the power management settings on it.

Right-click the start menu and choose device manager
Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers at the very bottom
Double-click on each HUB you have listed, click Power Management Tab at the top, and UNCHECK "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power"
You may have HUBs called Generic and Root Hub. Perform the step above on All of them.

If you continue to have the issue, i would imagine your mouse is malfunctioning. Perhaps try another mouse just to be sure. This will help you determine if it is in fact the mouse of computer causing the issue.
