Windows 10: How do I stop my PC from switching to my old location?

I recently moved from Iowa to Colorado. My Location does not allow me to choose Mountain Time, which is an hour behind Iowa. It only gives me the choice of Central Time, which is Iowa. I updated everything in my profile and Maps, just about everything I could think of to put my new address in, yet when I restart it switches, the time does, to Iowa Time. When I change the clock time, it does not stay that way. I am lost as what else to do, especially since there is no other choice, except for Central Time in the list for time zones.

my pc location is showing the wrong location

I have the same issue. it lists our location at our old house we left 3 months ago.

it's fine using our phones (which have internal GPS), but all our PC's are showing the wrong location.

we have 1 on windows 10 and 1 on windows 11, both are wrong.

they are wrong in edge and chrome.

they are wrong in the weather apps and anything which uses the location.

I have followed the common steps of setting the location, of refreshing dns, or ip, I've changed all entries to location I can find.

even on websites to try to find a local branch, it suggests them near our old house.

Have just spent an hour on the phone with our ISP (EE) who have nothing more to suggest!

 

Unlink an old android phone from my pc

I go thru the suggested steps: Start - Settings - Phone - Unlink this PC.

When I first open the "your phone" screen the old phone is listed. Not sure if the phone listed is suppose to be selectable or not, but my is not. When I select "Unlink this PC" the phone listed is removed. When I select "Add Phone" the old phone still
shows. I have removed the old phone from my Microsoft Account. I have rebooted after unlink this pc but I still cannot remove my old phone.

 

Windows location stuck on very old location

Method 1: I suggest you to follow the below steps.

1. Go to Weather app in the search bar, and choose settings.

2. In the General tab, Under Launch location, select always detect my location.
3. If Location services is turned off for weather, click on settings.

4. Choose Location in the left pane.

3. Under Location for this device is on, check if it is turned on.

Also, suggest you to clear history of the location from the Settings > Privacy > Location.

Method 2: Start the Geolocation service.

1. Press Windows + R, type Services.msc, and hit enter.
2. Choose Geolocation service from the list.

3. Start the service if it is stopped, and check if it works.
