Windows 10: How do I stop my screen migrating to my second screen when I close the lid?

My laptop is connected to a second screen. Since the latest Windows update, everything on the laptop screen moves to the second screen every time I close my laptop. "Closing the lid will make my PC" is already set to "Do Nothing", and I've tried all the options provided by the "Windows + P" keys, but neither works. I just want my laptop's primary and peripheral screens to stay separate when I close the laptop like it did before the update, so I can close my laptop to protect the keyboard when I walk away without what I was doing on my laptop popping up over the show I had playing for the rest

How long have you had this Asus ROG? Has it ever turned off the screen when the lid is closed?

The last post in this thread suggests it may be a hardware problem, the section starting 'Here's an interesting story about the GL502VS in general' describes a sequence of replacements from Asus, one of which behaved this way. Oddly, the OP actually wanted this behaviour.

Closed lid on laptop

When I close the lid (do nothing is on) the cursor migrates to center of screen. I want it to stay where it was when i closed the lid like in windows 8.1

 

Lock Screen on lid close

When I close the lid of the laptop the screen doesn't lock automatically like it used to do on windows 8, it doesn't do anything. I also cannot find any settings on that on windows 10. Any directions or suggestions?
