Windows 10: how do i stop nearby networks from showing on my windows 7 laptop

i am have this problem with my computer with nearby networks and the networks are showing as unknown networks and i don't know who the networks belong to for example like Pablo's internet Chestnut Booshe2 Tmoble 2722 any of those unknown networks you can think of my computer is made by dell windows 7 laptop and do i disable other nearby networks on my windows 7 laptop

Laptop won't show list of available networks

We suggest checking the list of available Wi-Fi networks on your laptop.

Please follow these steps:

• Click the Windows logo.
• Go to Settings (gear icon).
• Select Network and Internet.
• Then Wi-Fi.
• Make sure the Wi-Fi radio button is On.
• Select Show available networks, then you'll be able to see the list of available Wi-Fi networks.

Nearby Sharing

I have reviewed most of the older posts and their possible solutions about this problem but none have worked for me. I am posting the same problem in the hope that someone has found a more recent solution. Here is my setup:

• Both PC and Laptop running v.1903.
• Both are on the same WiFi network.
• Laptop connects to the network via WiFi
• PC has both ethernet connection and WiFi enabled.
• PC - Realtek Bluetooth 4.0
• Laptop - Qualcomm Atheros 4.1
• Both bluetooth radios supports Low Energy Central Role = true
• Both set up for nearby sharing. "Everyone nearby" selected on both.
• The two machines are about 4 meters apart.

"Looking for nearby devices" fails in both directions. I would appreciate any help.

 

I'm online from my wifi laptop but can't connect to my home network

Nope, I've tried all the steps of all the fixes listed by Dalchina and Try3 but the problem still exists. The W10 laptop refuses to access my main W7 pc (named CG16) on my home network, although it can 'see' it, ie, it shows CG16 in the network list. The only thing I haven't tried is Dalchina's suggestion about creating a shortcut, mainly because I'm not sure where this shortcut is supposed to be. I'm assuming it has to be on the W10 laptop but I don't understand how it could work. More info please, Dalchina, if you'd be so kind. Daymin, sorry: I have no idea what you're trying to say.
