Windows 10: How do I Stop PowerShell Random Popup a Bit After Starting PC?

I have had this Powershell pop up randomly either after starting up my PC or a bit after for some reason. I will list the couple of things I have tried to do to get rid of this problem since I've never had something like this happen before.-Went into task manager to disable powershell startup-Went into the %ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp folder to remove it from start up-Have checked task schedule and nothing on powershell showsI am not sure if it is something that I have downloaded recently that started powershell to randomly popup because I have done malware and v

Hi Microsoft,

As the title suggested, I am currently encountering the issue where random popups occurred. It would seems like it was a command prompt and it randomly appeared and closes immediately. Is there any way to resolve this issue?

Applications still showing on Start menu after powershell deletion


Hi,

I've used powershell to remove some apps (like Xbox games).

On one account, it cleaned up the start menu just fine.

Second account, they were showing on the start menu, so I ran powershell again and verified everything was gone that I wanted, but Xbox is still showing on the menu list. *Not* as a tile, but in the "All Apps" list. I have also tried looking at the Start Menu in File Explorer for that User and can not see the App listed.

Suggestions?

I would give the other 3 options mentioned in the first guide:

• STEP 3: Use HitmanPro to scan for malware and unwanted programs
• (Optional) STEP 4: Reset the browser settings to their original defaults
• (Optional) STEP 5: Double-check for malicious programs with Zemana AntiMalware
