Windows 10: How do I stop Teams items appearing in Quick Acess when I am SAVING using Save As a Word or...

Every time I try to use the Save As feature to save a Word or Excel document, Teams channels appear in the Quick Access area. I don't want these items to appear. This just started happening last week. Normally the folders I have added to Quick access show up..

Saving to a specific Team

Hello

Scenario

I have created a word document and wish to save it to a specific folder within a specific team that i have created. When I select 'save as' in word all but one of my teams appears - but the one that I want to save to does not appear even though I have used
that team frequently of late. There are obvious work arounds to save to this team i.e save to the desktop and import but I am baffled as to why this team does not appear when I 'save as' from word when others do.

Any help greatly appreciated and apologies for the rambling nature of my request.

Arranging items in Quick Access

How can I organize Quick Access items in Windows Explorer? Running Windows 11 Build 22H2.
When I went to save a file, the pinned Quick Access items did not appear in the Save As dialogue box.
Found them in the new Home tab, but they seem to be organized by the chronological order of the date I "pinned" each folder to Quick Access --- the latest to be added appears at the bottom of the Quick Access list.
Is there any way to display them by alphabetical order instead?
Or is there any way I can manually placed my most frequently used Pinned item at the top of the list?

 

Microsoft word not saving preferences

Just a heads up that in regards to this kind of issue, our option is limited and we can only perform basic troubleshooting steps. Please allow me to ask some questions to better understand your concern.

• May I know what version and edition of Office installed in your computer?
  
  • You can open any Office apps
    
  • Go to File > Accounts - on the right side you can see Product Information
    
• Are you accessing Word application or Word on Web?
  

Here are some steps you can try to fix this issue:

1. Try repairing Microsoft Office:
   
   • Open the Settings app on your Windows computer. Click on " Installed Apps".
     
   • Scroll down and find "Microsoft 365 Office" in the list of installed apps.
     
   • Click on "Microsoft 365 Office" and then click on "Modify".
     
   • Select "Quick Repair" and click on "Repair".
     
   • Wait for the repair process to complete.
     
2. Reset Word settings: Open Word and go to File > Options > Customize Ribbon. Click on the Reset button at the bottom of the window and then click on OK. This will reset all Word settings to their default values.
   
3. Disable add-ins: Sometimes add-ins can cause issues with Word. Go to File > Options > Add-ins and disable any add-ins that you don't need.
   
4. Check for updates: Make sure that you have the latest updates installed for Microsoft Office. Go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
   
5. Autocorrect not working: Try resetting the autocorrect settings by following these steps:
   
   • Click on the File tab in the top left corner of the screen.
     
   • Select Options from the left-hand menu.
     
   • Click on Proofing in the left-hand menu.
     
   • Click on the AutoCorrect Options button.
     
   • Click on the Reset button.
     
   • Click on OK to save the changes.
     
6. Default save location: If you want to change the default save location from OneDrive to your computer, follow these steps:
   
   • Click on the File tab in the top left corner of the screen.
     
   • Select Options from the left-hand menu.
     
   • Click on Save in the left-hand menu.
     
   • Under Save documents, select Computer.
     
   • In the Default local file location box, enter the path to the folder where you want to save your documents.
     
   • Click on OK to save the changes.
