Windows 10: How do I stop the sound coming on at 100% when I turn the computer on.

Every time I turn on my PC the audio defaults to 100%. Is there any way I can make it stick at say 20%?

Simple question, every time I turn off my computer and the Windows 10 "Shutting Down" window comes up, I get a noise just before it fully shuts down, I checked if it was a sound that was set but there's no "shutting off" or "log out" sound, and I THINK It's a Critical Stop sound that comes, but I can't check what it is as the computer is shutting down.

for some odd reason my computer audio stopped working and if you say just turn up the volume its at 100% but no sound will come out pls help.

 

Sound Quality

One thing that sticks out from looking at your "My Computer" specs. You list "ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)" which suggests you do not have the correct sound hardware driver. Your motherboard has Realtek sound and the first step is to install the Realtek sound drivers. My ASUS also came with Sonic Studio 2 which is a sound enhancement package. Check the ASUS install disc to see if you have something similar.

May not be a speaker problem.
