Hi I'm hoping for any advice. A person or a bunch of people/person are trying to get into my Microsoft account different places/probably using a VPN. I have the Microsoft authentication app and every time somebody tries to log in I have to deny the request. It pops up on my screen and it interrupts whatever I'm doing. Is there any way I can stop this from happening. I have approximately 20 unsuccessful requests currently in my login history / attempts. Should I change my account password. I really am sure what to do right now I was just never happened before.Any help would be much appreciate

    :)

  2. Trying to switch to Microsoft account from local, unable to...

I tried that, more than once. I go thru the complete procedure of getting a new Microsoft account password, then when I reach the final step to key in the Windows password, I try my NEW Microsoft account password, and I get the same message-invalid password. No luck. Any other suggestions.

  3. Microsoft Officially Launches Outlook.com

Outlook e-mail does not have Multi-factor authentication in the strictest sense - at least when compared to GMail. However if you try to change anything "personal" about your Microsoft/Live account, then it will ask for a temp code it texts to your phone.

So, yes and no in regards to your question. No, it doesn't require two-factor authentication to log-in, but if you go and try your change some "critical" account settings, it will ask you for a second step of verification. However, in regards to whether the e-mail service specifically offers two-step authentication for login; the answer would be no.
