How do I stop Windows 10 Pro from allowing/causing other programs to Reset my nVidia color...

Hello to Windows Techs and my Fellow Windows 10 Users! I'm having a Repetitive Problem with my graphics settings that I was hoping Someone could Please help me with if you can. The problem is simple and I'm hoping that the Solution to it if any is available, *crosses fingers/toes, etc* , will be simple as well, but Whatever needs to be done, I'll of course go ahead and do it if I can.

The problem I'm having is that Many Many Times Over And Over Again, when I get done playing a game on my Win10 Pro gaming system w/it's "GeForce RTX 2017 Super" graphics card, Without the GeForce Experience installed and just the Base Drivers installed Only at this time, such as the game "Grim Dawn" which FOR 100% SURE causes this to happen after game play Every Time I exit out of the game, the Color Settings will ALWAYS reset to the:

    "Other applications control color settings"

option Instead of what I Need the settings to Stay At All The Time which is the option:

    "Use NVIDIA Settings"

and NEVER Change Away From that unless I decide to change the setting Myself.

What makes the situation Worse, is that the option via the NVIDIA Control Panel program Doesn't Actually Show itself Visibly in the NVIDIA Control Panel to have been changed as far as what option is Selected goes and Still looks like and is Still Set to the "Use NVIDIA Settings" option when you go back into the program to see WTH happened, but In Fact In The Background, it Actually HAS changed from that Needed "Use NVIDIA Settings" setting, to the Un-Needed/Unwanted "Other application control color settings" setting and I Need this to Stop ASAP if At All Possible!

So, it appears that the NVIDIA Control Panel and/or Windows 10 Needs to LOCK the nVidia option "Use NVIDIA Settings" into effect Somehow, thus making it Impossible for Anything Else to alter that setting Whatsoever Without me giving it Permission to and I'm wondering if anyone can help me to do this.

Perhaps one or more Registry Entries can be altered/added to make this happen or if not, then maybe At Least a hotkey that I can either program myself, or download from somewhere that lets me Switch between the 2 options "On The Fly" so that even when the color settings change, I can simply Quickly reset them back and go on about my computing activities Without having to Constantly Open Up the NVIDIA Control Panel All The Time Over And Over Again And Again after playing certain games that Reset the colors from an In The Background type of process.....

Well, Thanks to ALL for taking the time to read this and for Any help in dealing with this problem! I Sure Do Appreciate It! Take Care!

    :)

  2. Color bit depth is at 6-bit on Display properties of Windows 10 pro

Try the below suggested steps and check if the suggested options are available to change the Color bit Depth value

    1. Right click on the desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel.
    2. Expand the Display, and then highlight the Change resolution.
    3. On the right side, check if there is 8 bpc listed under
      Output color depth.
    4. You may select 8 bpc and restart the device to witness the changes.

  3. Windows 10 color calibration keeps resetting

When I try to change my monitor's colors, I can see a preview of the color change, but the screen quickly reverts to its default color setting. For example if I use the Windows 10
Display Color Calibration tool, every step works as it should until I get to the Color balance step. When I am still moving a slider to change the color balance, I can see the difference. When I stop, the slider remains moved where I left it,
    but the color balance reverts.

If I try to change the balance with the following two methods, I can't even see the preview of the color change. Nothing happens.

When I try to change the color balance through nvidia control panel. (Display -> Adjust Desktop Color settings, and also Video -> adjust video settings)

When I try to change the color balance using the monitor's buttons panel.

    Specs

    Acer K242HYL Abi (HDMI)

    Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 17763)

Nvidia 1050 Ti with latest WHQL driver

primary display's adapter does not support NVIDIA 3D Vision. Error. Windows 10 Pro

    Thank you for updating us.

"If you think, totally UNISTALLING all NVIDIA software should SOLVE MY PROBLEM" - Are you referring to NVIDIA graphics card or NVIDIA 3D Vision? If you're referring to
NVIDIA 3D Vision, the cause of the error is due to incompatibility of your graphics card.
NVIDIA 3D Vision is a stereoscopic gaming kit from NVIDIA and driver software which enables stereoscopic vision for any Direct3D game, with various degrees of compatibility. To help you resolve the issue, we suggest that you uninstall the driver
of the NVIDIA 3D Vision. To uninstall NVIDIA 3D Vision, follow the steps below:

    • Press the Windows Start and type Programs and Features.
    • Click on Programs and Features.
    • Look for NVIDIA 3D Vision Driver or NVIDIA Vision Controller Driver.
    • Click on uninstall and follow the onscreen instructions to uninstall.
    • Restart your computer.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
