Windows 10: How Do I Stop Windows From Opening The Taskbar?

How Do I Stop Windows / Programs From Opening The Taskbar?My taskbar is set to auto hide, but if a program opens, the taskbar will pop up. I would like to disable this behavior anyway possible natively or by removing core services, I don't care.Added a picture to show how it looks when the taskbar pops up.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. I will surely assist you with this.

I would suggest you to change the desktop themes and check if you are able to see the transparent taskbar.

If that doesn't help I would suggest you to end the explorer.exe and restart it and see if you are able to see the transparent taskbar.

Please follow the steps below to restart explorer.exe:

stop and start Explorer.exe

• • 
    Right click on the taskbar and select task manager.
    
  • 
    In the process Right click on windows explorer and end the task
    
  • 
    Restart the task by clicking on the file and select new task
    
  • 
    Type Explorer.exe and press enter.
    

And see if it helps.

Try Ctrl+Esc.

If Recycle Bin is the only icon you can see, open it, from the explorer window navigate to Control Panel and find Taskbar settings there.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to follow the below steps and then try to download the applications from the Windows store.

1) Open Command Prompt with administrative privileges.

2) Type following commands one by one:

• net stop wuauserv

• cd\windows

• rename SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.bck

• net start wuauserv

For Taskbar issue try to follow the below steps and check if it helps.



1) Type and Open Taskbar and start menu properties from the search box.

2) Make sure that you have unchecked the auto hide the taskbar.
