    How do I stop Windows Hello prompting me to set up a pin every time I log on


    Every time I log on, Windows is showing an annoying blue screen asking me to set up a pin, which I don't want to do. I have to click through to set it up and then click cancel.


    I have tried going into settings and disabling. I have also been into Windows Defender and cancelled the "notification" about it. It is still asking me and driving me crazy!


    I don't know why it has started doing this only in the last coupe of weeks.


    Please help!!

    you answer the questions below?

    • How are you setting the PIN and Hello?
    • Which build version of Windows is your PC running on?
    • Were there any error codes or messages?

    In the meantime, we suggest that you follow the steps below on how to set up PIN.

    • Open Settings.
    • Select Accounts.
    • Click Sign-in options.
    • Click the Add button for the PIN and set your PIN.
    • Do the same for the Windows Hello.

    How do I stop Windows Hello prompting me to set up a pin every time I log on

    Windows Hello prompts every time i log in

    Hi I have a fresh install of Windows 10 Home version 1803 build 17134.48(created using the Microsoft recovery tool).

    Every time i log in (as local administrator) it asks me to configure Windows Hello. I then go through the "Cancel" / "Skip" process to get past the process.

    How do I stop this, I dont't want to use this feature.

    Thanks.

    PS when installing the OS from scratch it forced m to set up a PIN which I have subsequently deleted.

    However I cannnot use the account settings to disable as it tells me "Windows Hello isnt available on this device"
