Windows 10: How do I switch user accounts from the log in screen?

I have a surface pro and I only use the Admin local user option. Something happened and it switched to Other User and I do not have log in info for that user account and now I cannot get back to the Admin log in that I know the info for. When I restart it, it goes right back to Other User. Window Hello recognizes me as Admin but says my password was changed on another computer and I need to log in. Help!

Switching User Account in Windows 10

Follow the steps to switch user account without logging out or restart.

• On Left bottom corner, Click on Start button
• From the Menu screen, go to the TOP. [This should have the name of the user current logged in].
• Right click on Current User... Or change to other user.

Switching Users Only available when Logged Out

So I want to be able to switch users and when I first installed Windows 10 I could switch users while others were logged in all the time. Then for a while I wasn't and I just dealt with it, then I was able, and now I have returned to not being able to switch
users.

Here are the variables.

• Only current logged in user shows up in start menu
• The only options when clicking user in start menu are "Change Account Settings", "Lock", and "Log Out"
• Upon logging out, I will see all my users in bottom left of login screen.
• The lock screen does NOT show any users in the bottom left when logged in.
  
• There is no "Switch User" option in start menu or lock screen.
• This is the case for all users.

Is is a Windows version issue?

Are there programs that can keep me from doing this?

 

Cannot log in with another user account

I am having the same issue as here. I have reset a laptop with Windows Home 10 v1909 and cannot get it to log in with another user account. I am able to add a Work Microsoft account but I am unable to log in with it. I have to log in with my hotmail account. I have tried the fast switching bat file that was suggested and still the same issue.
