Windows 10: How do I to fix an “AHCI BIOS Not installed” error please

PC fails to start up, the Windows 10 diagnostics and recovery can’t fix it, the recovery to an earlier point fails, unwinding last OS updates fails, even a PC Reset fails. It is a Dell Inspiron 430 I think about 10 years old with an SSD installed about 7 years ago. There have been no hardware changes since then. It is windows 10, upgraded from an original retail copy of Windows7, via a retail Windows 8 Pro upgrade. It isn’t a heavily used machine although I used it a lot for Word and picture management this last month ahead of my dad’s funeral 2 days ago. I turned the Pc off normally the d

AHCI Bios error

You're running RAID with it?

Did you load windows with an AHCI driver when it was new?

Is the BIOS and Raid/AHCI controller still set to AHCI?

Is the BIOS and Raid/AHCI controller set to AHCI and it shouldn't be?

Reset and check that everything was set to Raid/AHCI mode.

Found Ram setting was set to 400mhz 6-6-6, reset to 800mhz 9-9-9

 

AHCI still not fixed???

I don't to understand what you mean by fixing ahci.

The only thing I can think of is that some OEMs simply set the BIOS to default AHCI and don't list the option. HP is one of those OEMs, but I though ASUS provided more access to BIOS options.

If it isn't the BIOS setting that you're question concerns, please provide a better description of the issue.
