Windows 10: How do I transfer all my OS files to my drive D. All the files in OS drive are windows...

The files on the OS drive are preinstalled windows data such as program files or dell files and they're on the drive and its full. If I selected all of them and copied it to my drive will it effect my computer? I've seen some people do experiments like deleting all the windows files and it breaks their computer wondering if there are any other solutions to clear the data on my OS file or if copying all the files and moving it to my file will effect my computer. Any help is appreciated thank you.

Need Help Files Transfer

I have a computer running Windows XP Home Edition. That computer has two internal HDDs:

The 1st HDD is C:\ that running Windows. And it has 20GB total of capacity.
The 2nd HDD is D:\ that is empty. And it has 90GB total of capacity.

The C:\ drive is almost run out of space (full). Is there a way I can transfer everything in the C:\ drive to the D:\ drive and begin to use the D:\ drive from there on as primary drive?
Can the Windows Files Transfer feature in XP transfer everything I have in C:\ to D:\? If it cannot, then which way can I use to perform the above step?

Remove an OS installation without removing files?

Its been a while since I did this sort of thing and I need help, I bought an 120gb SSD(Crucial M500) and will install windows 8 on it to be my boot OS/Drive later,

however I still have my very old Windows 7 installed on my 1TB drive(still currently my boot drive). I plan to keep most of the files in that Drive, but not the actual OS itself.. and I don't plan on dual booting, how can I remove the windows 7 on the 1TB Drive but still keep the non-OS files in there for backup purposes while I'm still setting up my new OS?

There's no way to keep files and delete OS without installing a new OS. You can create a new partition on that drive, drop your files there and format partition with OS.
