Windows 10: How do I transfer the data, documents, favorites, bookmarks and other information from old...

I have purchased a new laptop and I need to transfer the data from old desktop. The computers are from different manufacturers. Both computers have Windows. Version 10 on the old computer and Version 11 on the new computer. Is there a wizard in Microsoft, that allows for the transfer of information between the computers?

I will be glad to help you with the issue you have with the computer. I understand the frustration when things don't work the way it should.

I would suggest you to first browse to the favorite’s folder location and check if the favorites contains all the favorites that were missing from Internet Explorer favorite list websites are listed. If listed, please follow the
steps:

• Press Windows key + E.
• Select C drive.
• Click on Users.
• Select your user account.
• Click on Favorites folder.
• Double click on the links that are saved on the
  favorite folder.
• Opening the links will take you to Internet Explorer. Once the webpage is displayed, you may open the favorite bar on the Internet Explorer and click on
  Add to Favorites. This will add the webpage back to favorite bar.

Please reply us on the status of the issue to assist you further.

 

Why aren't my favorites/bookmarks on the Favorites bar?

We would like to get further clarification with your concern. Please answer the questions below for us to know the best possible resolution to offer.

• Correct us if we're wrong, the favorites/bookmarks came from Firefox? Is that correct?
• If so, can you tell us where are you transferring or putting the favorites/bookmarks?
  
• Are you putting it to a different version of Firefox or a different browser?

Bookmarks/Favorites didn't transfer

I switched from Windows 8.1 to the free Windows 10 upgrade and discovered that NONE of the favorites/bookmarks I had in IE transferred over. Is there any way to get those back? I had a lot and they were organized neatly. I was under the impression they
were supposed to transfer over.
