Windows 10: How do I troubleshoot recurring freeze ups of a new Dell running Windows 11?

I bought the computer in January 2022 and have logged 44 freezeups or about one a week but they happen at irregular intervals from a couple of hours to a couple of weeks. 1 The problems started almost immediately after I got the computer.2 I called Dell a couple of months after it started and they tested the hardware and said it was working fine, so they suggest the problem must be in the software. 3 I've looked at the event log and see several different types of Event IDs 11, 20, 78, 162, 300, 1010, 2505, 4627, 8193, 8194, & 10016 preceding the freezeup. Constant freeze up on Vista Ultimate X64

Every time I started running my windows media player 11, the system freezes up. It used to run well. I don't know what is wrong with it. Does any of you have suggestions? Thanks!!!!!

If that setting is already enabled, then I suggest as the next troubleshooting step might be Mozilla Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)):

after installing win 10, my computer freezes up when starting

Hi,

I suggest that you run the Power troubleshooter and check. Follow the steps:

• Click on Windows logo
• Type Troubleshooting
• Under System and Security Click Power usage
• Let the troubleshooter run.

If the above method does not help resolve the issue, then try the below:

• Click on Windows logo
• Type Power Options.
• Click Create a Power Plan
