Windows 10: How do i try running my directx without -ds12 or -d3d12?

On my computer when i try to open up a videogame that uses directx dosen't work and a message pops up saying the following: DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument. I don't know what is -dx12 and 1d312 and what do i need to do. Could someone help me please?

Missing dll - D3D12.dll

D3D12.dll is part of DirectX 12.

Unfortunately, Windows 7 only supports up to DirectX 11.1. See

Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2

• DirectX 11.0 is included in Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2. There is no stand-alone update package for this version. You can update DirectX by installing the service pack and update listed below.

If you want to run a game that requires DirectX 12, you'll have to install Windows 10. Check the "System Requirements" for the game you're trying to run.

DirectX 12 corrupted

Please follow the steps below to delete direct X12 from windows:
Step 1) Firstly, open up your file explorer.

Step 2) Navigate to the following directory. C:\Windows\System32 or C:\Windows\SysWOW64

Step 3) After you have located the directory mentioned above, delete the following files in the directory. Right-click on it and select the Delete option.
Delete following files:
D3dx9_24.dll to 43
D3dx10_33.dll to 43
D3dx11_42.dll to 43
D3d9.dll, d3d10.dll and d3d11.dll
D3DCompiler_33.dll to 47
D3d12.dll

Step 4) After you have deleted the DirectX graphic related files. Then you will have to run the DirectX-Runtime installer. Run it as an administrator and install the latest version of DirectX 12.

Step 5) Run the installer and make sure to connect with high-speed internet. Follow the on-screen instruction to install the program.

Note: After successful installation, make sure to reboot your PC
