Windows 10: How do I turn off "Microsoft Start" / widget bar / newsfeed of unwanted junk, on windows 11 ?

This is a repost because the other thread was locked without offering a satisfying answer."Another pointless update, another stupid bloatware nobody asked for. And they gave it a name that makes googling for help impossible, due to the results all relating to either startup or the start menu. How do I get this stupid newsfeed off my taskbar, and why does it know my city when I turned off location services?"The accepted answer is to right click on the taskbar and remove "news and interests". Windows 11 Widgets - Only newsfeed showing

Hi! I'd really like to start taking advantage of the widgets in Windows 11 but only the newsfeed is showing for me. Is there any way to get widgets such as stocks and weather to appear?

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Currently, there is no setting or even a registry hack to turn off that newsfeed on the Widgets. Microsoft have listened to the Insiders and people using Windows 11 and they are adding a lot more customization options in Windows 11, so hopefully that will be one of the options available in the Sun Valley 2 update in the summer.

In the meantime, please open the Feedback Hub (Windows Key + F) and provide your suggestion there to the developers, the more people that ask for a feature, the more likely they are to add it to Windows 11

 

Changing Language of Widgets bar in windows 11

I understand that you need help regarding language in Windows 11 widgets

In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the make and model number of your PC?
  
• What is the Version and Build of Windows 11 installed on the tablet? (Type winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• Is your PC running on a single language operating system?
  

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Open Settings (Windows + I), select Time & language from the left pane
   
2. On the right hand side, select Language & region
   
3. You may select the desired Windows display language from the dropdown menu
   
4. You may also Add a language and set it as windows display language
