Windows 10: How do i turn off the orange light on my touch pad

    How do i turn off the orange light on my touch pad


    Every time I turn on my system, the mouse works on the sign in page but doesn't work on the home page and a yellow light comes up

    turn off touch pad

    Hi Brian,

    You can disable Touch pad from the Device Manager. Make sure that the mouse is already plugged in before disabling the touch pad. To disable Touch pad, follow these steps:

    • Press and hold Windows logo key + R.
    • Type Devmgmt.msc in the Run command dialog box.
    • Press Enter.
    • Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
    • Right-click on the first HID-compliant mouse entry.
    • Select Disable.
    • Hit Yes.

    Mouse light on touch pad stays on

    Occasionally my mouse icon stays lit on my touch pad (Toshiba laptop). I cannot remember but there's a quick remedy for turning of the light. Holding down a button or maybe the mouse icon itself but I cannot remember. Does anyone know the fix? Thanks
