Windows 10: How do I turn off the tap to click on my Lenovo Windows 10 laptop?

I had it turned off but I recently updated my drivers through AVG and it seems to be on again. I tried through Pointer Options, as described elsewhere in this forum, but Device Settings is not listed there. Also, the 'rollback driver' box is greyed out so I can't reset things.I have scoured both the mouse and touchpad options/settings but cannot find tapping or gestures mentioned anywhere.This was a problem when I first started using this laptop, which has Windows 10, but I know I found a way to turn off all the gestures, like 'click to tap' that were causing me problems. Disabling Tapping on Windows 10

We would like to verify if you's still unable to disable the Tapping of your Lenovo Miix 310?

The steps that were suggested above by Yashwanth Kotakuri is helpful. That is the actual way to disable the
Tapping function of your laptop. Since you mentioned that you do not have the "Tapping" settings, then there must another thing that we need to do.

It is important to let us know the reason why do you want disable the "Tapping" function.

Lenovo Ready to Launch Windows 10 Devices

Lenovo today announced it will begin shipping a wide selection of products loaded with Windows 10 starting July 29. Lenovo has an extensive list of products eligible for this upgrade including popular models like the YOGA 3 Pro and YOGA 500. Lenovo customers can check here for their product's eligibility.

Lenovo has worked with Microsoft Corp. to make the process of upgrading simple, for people with qualified Lenovo PC running Windows 7 SP1 or 8.1 to upgrade to Windows 10. Starting on July 29, the updates will roll out. If a user has reserved a copy of Windows 10, he/she will be notified once the compatibility process confirms that the user will have a great experience, and Windows 10 has been downloaded on their system.

To give users consistent experiences across devices and operating systems, the preloads include a suite of Lenovo-written applications. The new Lenovo Companion 3.0 optimization tool keeps devices running at peak performance and can be used at any time to run a full-scale checkup and report back with specific actions to free up space and speed up the device. As a "smart" device control hub, the new Lenovo Settings lets users easily adapt and modify the way their device behaves. For example, when in tablet mode, the product will customize its display and other settings based on its orientation versus in traditional laptop mode. Lenovo B570 ONLY shows support up to Win 8.x ( 32 @ 64 Bit ).

That being said, ...... it depends on if Windows 10 can install all the required Drivers to give you full functionality.

You would also require to purchase Win 10.

1. If i were to try this i would purchase another Suitable Hard Drive for the B570 so not to destroy the Original Windows Installation on the Present Hard Drive for this computer.

• That way in the event of a failure in installing Windows 10 you can always replace the Original Hard Drive with the Pre-Installed Original Operating System that you bought it with.

2. Then i would Download / Create a Windows 10 Installation Media ( ISO ) to test with before even purchasing a

copy of Windows 10.
