Windows 10: How Do I Turn On My Laptop Without A Power Button?

Recently I was replacing my HDD with a SDD and I ripped off the top of my laptop to quickly so I could reveal the hardware inside

and the connector that connects to the power button ripped off from where the connector receives power

(Not The Side You Connect Things In) Im not exactly what these cords are called, but they are the thin cord you slide under

a thing you connect it to, then you flip the thing shut. (Im not that tech savy)

This is a frequent problem am sure as you have already seen from online searches.

Flea power is usually the culprit here, basically its residual power that remains on the computer even after thecomputer has been shutdown. You can drain the flea power with the steps the other answers have suggested.

• Disconnecting the battery and adapter
• Press the hardpress the power button for 30 seconds
• This should clear the flea power

I does not suggest you to do this, if you insist on this, try the following steps.

1. Open Control Panel
   
2. Find and click System and Security
   
3. Find and click Power Options
   
4. On the left hand, you will see Choose what the power button does and click it
   
5. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable to be able to change the settings
   
6. In When I press the power button, you can choose Do nothing

There are many reasons for your problem, but you may try this step :-

• Disconnect the AC adapter and remove the battery.
  
• Hold down the power button for at least fifteen seconds.
• Without replacing the battery, plug the AC adapter back into the laptop.
  
• Press the power button to turn on your laptop

If the PC is able to boot & startup, the problem is with your battery, if not contact a service centre.
