Windows 10: How do I type an umlaut?

    How do I type an umlaut?


    I have one of those keyboard with the weird shaped enter key an no numpad. I have tried everything but i can't for the life of me get an umlaut in google docs without pulling out the trusty character map.

    Any help please i beg?

    How can I type an umlaute (as used in the German language when typing a name that requires an umlaute, or a location?

    Umlauts on E61i

    well I only have a british e61, but I can get umlauts by holding down the chr key and hitting the character I need made special. So if I wanted an umlaut over the o I'd hold chr then keep hitting o until it shows me the right one

    How do I type an umlaut?

    E72 - How I get an umlaut

    I just switched from E71 to E72.



    What I am missing is that Chr button which was at the bottom right corner.

    This button in combination with u it provided ü etc.

    When pressing only this button it showed the symbol list. That is all gone?!



    Anybody an idea how to get an umlaut to the E72?
