Windows 10: How Do I Unblock Microsoft Store

I need to update my Power BI Desktop application, and the only way to update it is through the Store. However, it's blocked whether I'm logged in as my local account or as administrator. I've edited group policy and registry to allow access to the Store but neither works. Any ideas on what I can do?


I'm on Windows 10 Enterprise x64. The OS version is 10.0.16299

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

 

unblock the publisher

Hi,

Based on the error message that you are getting, you can unblock a software by following the steps below:

• Open Internet Explorer, click the Tools button.
• Click Internet Options.
• Go to the Content tab, look under the Certificates section.
• Click on Publishers button.
• Select the Untrusted Publishers tab.
• Select the publisher you wish to unblock and click the Remove button.
