    How do you uninstall chipset drivers?

    I'm installing a new mobo so I need to uninstall the intel 865g drivers to make way for the P35 drivers.

    Can't find any uninstall options in add/remove programs and intel chipset inst listed in driver cleaner.

    Any suggestions? *Confused How do I uninstall a PROTECTED Update? In this case kb4284835 :confused:

    I've tried all the troubleshooting procedures that microsoft suggests to try to install update KB4284835 short of a complete reinstall of windows with NO guarantee that, that will even work. I get error 0x80070015, an ambiguous error at best. It continues
    to try once a day. Is it my problem or Microsoft's? Am I beating my head against the monitor for no reason trying to fix the unfixable? I have tried cleaning and checking both windows and windows update for errors. Found a few but did not help. Help? I have
    a AMD processor with Asus motherboard and AMD graphics. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
