Windows 10: How do I unlink mail accounts on my mail app on my Windows10 laptop?

There isn't a "gear" logo where I can get to settings to unlink an account. Where do I go?

How to unlink Email Accounts in Win 10 Mail App

To unlink linked accounts:-

• In Mail App. Select Hamburger or 'All Accounts' icon to display account list.
• Right click on the name of the account to unlink, ('linked inbox' by default), & select 'Account Settings'
• Under 'Manage Accounts' select (Left click) the name of the linked inbox. 'Settings for linked inbox' will open.
• Select 'Unlink inboxes' .

I would like to inform that you will have to remove the account from Mail app to unlink the Emails for the account.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. *Smile

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
