Windows 10: How do I unlink my phone from my old laptop that is dead?

Trying to link my phone to my new laptop, but i can't. Phone link app keeps showing my old laptop that is completely dead, and whenever i try to add a new computer the process fails.

Unlink an old android phone from my pc

I go thru the suggested steps: Start - Settings - Phone - Unlink this PC.

When I first open the "your phone" screen the old phone is listed. Not sure if the phone listed is suppose to be selectable or not, but my is not. When I select "Unlink this PC" the phone listed is removed. When I select "Add Phone" the old phone still
shows. I have removed the old phone from my Microsoft Account. I have rebooted after unlink this pc but I still cannot remove my old phone.

 

Stop Windows 10 from asking to link phone to computer

Besides Group Policy, what other ways have you tried ?
Do you utilize Shared experiences, Share across devices ?

Unlink your phone from your PC running Windows 10, use these steps:

• Open Settings.
• Click on Phone.
• Click the Unlink this PC option. Unlink your phone from computer.
• Click the Home button.
• Click on Devices.
• Click on Bluetooth & other devices.
• Select your phone.
• Click the Remove device button.

I would like to remove my android phone from hp laptop windows 10. I need to unlink the phone. I have been trying to look for the link and went through the steps to unlink my phone, but, it seems to not be working. Ever since I linked my phone from my laptop in windows 10, I have been experiencing problems with my phone. Please help! Thank you.
