Windows 10: How do I update and shutdown.

My update and shutdown option it's gone now all I have it's update and restart, that would be fine, but I'm having problem with my PC boots files, and I have yet to managed to resolved the problem fully.

For some reason my PC when restart instead of shut down, it would get stuck on the ROG splash screen, and no loading circles would appear. I would then have to power cycle shut down my PC, and get it to boot up again. If I just shut down my laptop, it will boot up normally. That was the only way I managed to get any update through, but now since that option it's gone I cannot do that. I'm not sure what else to do to fix my restart problem either.

• Type Troubleshooting in the search bar beside the Windows icon.
• Select Troubleshooting from the results.
• Under System and Security, select Fix Problems with Windows Update.
• Choose Troubleshoot as an Administrator.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
