  2. GPU Shutting down, like resist to windows, it's happend everytime when I updating the GPU driver

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

When your GPU shuts down or resists operation during Windows use or driver updates, it could be due to several reasons. Given the components you've listed, here are some potential causes and solutions:

    1. Driver Compatibility Issues:
      • Ensure you're downloading the correct driver for your AMD Radeon RX 580 2048SP. AMD's official website should have the most up-to-date and compatible drivers. Sometimes, using an older driver version can be more stable than the latest one, especially if the hardware is a bit older.
    2. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Problems:
      • Despite being new, your 700W PSU might be experiencing issues providing consistent power to your GPU, especially under load. Quality is as important as wattage. Check if the PSU is from a reputable brand and has positive reviews. It's also worth checking all connections to ensure they're secure and not damaged.
    3. Overheating:
      • If your GPU overheats, it will shut down to protect itself. Ensure your system has adequate cooling and airflow. Check the GPU fan(s) to ensure they're functioning correctly and that the heat sink is not clogged with dust.
    4. Motherboard BIOS:
      • An outdated BIOS can sometimes cause compatibility issues with newer hardware. Check your motherboard manufacturer's website for a BIOS update that might improve system stability and compatibility.
      • Disclaimer: Microsoft provides no assurances and/or warranties, implied or otherwise, and is not responsible for the information you receive from the third-party linked sites or any support related to technology.
      • If you are going to modify BIOS Settings, please back up all your personal files first to ensure you do not lose data.
    5. Faulty GPU:
      • Although new, hardware can sometimes be defective. If possible, test the GPU in another system to see if the issue persists. If it does, you might need to contact the seller or manufacturer for a replacement under warranty.
    6. Incorrect Installation:
      • Double-check that the GPU is properly seated in the PCI-E slot and that the power connectors are securely attached. A loose connection can cause intermittent shutdowns.
    7. Windows Power Settings:
      • Adjust your Windows power settings to "High performance" to ensure your system isn't trying to save power by throttling hardware, which could potentially cause instability.
    8. Software Conflicts:
      • Sometimes, other software on your system can interfere with driver installations. Consider performing a clean boot (start Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs) and then attempt the driver update again.
      • Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background service is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get back on track.
    9. Corrupted Windows System Files:
      • Corrupted system files can cause all sorts of issues. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the System File Checker tool by typing sfc /scannow This will scan for and attempt to repair corrupted Windows files.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
