  1. How do I update my TPM?

I am trying to download Windows 11, but my computer says it is not compatible due to my TPM, it is at 1.2. I have tried clearing the security processor but got an error via HP due to my TXT being enabled. Does my computer support a chip or how else can I go about updating it? Processor: IntelR CoreTM i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.41 GHzSystem type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorEdition: Windows 10 ProVersion: 22H2

  2. TPM update

Don't know if this is the right place for this thread but whatever, laptop informed me that " a firmware update is needed for you security processor (TPM)," now, i looked up what to do and from a microsoft support thing, the last step says to clear the tpm. it has a warning saying to back up my data, i would like to know what clearing the tpm does, and what measures i need to take to make sure nothing goes wrong.

  3. TPM update

    From m$

"The Clear-Tpm cmdlet resets the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) to its default state. A reset removes the owner authorization value and any keys stored in the TPM. To reset a TPM, you must provide a valid owner authorization value. You can enter an owner authorization value or specify a file that contains the value. If you do not provide a value, the cmdlet attempts to use a value stored in the registry."

Best measures would be a backup, or clone, similar type of save.

How do I update my TPM?

Need help on whether to clear TPM on not

It's clear as mud. As far as I can tell, it's specific to Windows, not necessarily activated programs like MacAfee, games, etc etc etc. MS Office, I have no idea.

    Here's a lengthy doc on it: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/wi...initialize-and-configure-ownership-of-the-tpm
