Windows 10: how do i use recovery key id to retrieve recovery key for bitlocker

Discus and support how do i use recovery key id to retrieve recovery key for bitlocker in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; I have tried command prompt plenty of times and I cannot manage to bypass bitlocker nor will it give me my key to enter.     how do i use recovery key id to retrieve recovery key for bitlocker


    I have tried command prompt plenty of times and I cannot manage to bypass bitlocker nor will it give me my key to enter. I do not have a recovery key set up for my computer and all I have is a recovery key ID.

    How do I obtain the Bitlocker recovery key?

    Found a webpage suggesting that this is something to do with BIOS changes/updates. Dell have requested that I updated the BIOS twice in the last week (was performed).

    (a) Is this something I can fix?

    (b) Still don't know how to find the 'recovery key'? Laptop came with 'Bitlocker' installed, and I have no record of any recovery key password.
