Windows 10: How do we edit WAV meta data/details?

I've seen in forums and articles the "experts" just say, "You can't!" but..... some of my WAV files have different meta data/details from others so, there must be a way to edit this.

For example, I'm trying to finalize my album and zip it but I want the details to look consistent. One of the files has the song title in the "Title" field and the rest don't, though I use the exact same settings and method when exporting from my DAW. I don't know why this one song has that and the others don't and I'm trying to either remove it from this file or add the title to all the others so my OCD doesn't kill me.

Opening the project with all the correct settings and plugins may not be possible because it's been some time since the song was produced and that would be a lot of work to locate and restore so, how can I just remove this detail from this specific song so it doesn't look unprofessional when I distribute this zipped music album?

Hi Kostas, Wav files do not have the ability to store meta-data like Cove Aart!

 

Best Meta Data Program for Movies for Windows File Explorer

I'm not looking for something like Kodi/Plex because not only is it laggy but also I feel that it's not customizable enough. Usually, I think that developers over-customize software with too many options. This is a huge problem today as it detracts from the productivity of the product but in Plex's case and its competitors, they make the program so heavy (slow) and non-customizable. If someone simply made a custom folder for my movie folder in Windows, I think it could do really well. Something similar to the Windows OS font folder. When you simply double-click the font folder, it directly brings up an entirely new interface.

Anyway, I'm looking for a program that automatically adds meta data to my designated movie folder in Windows 10.

Requirements:

1. Automatically searches the internet to find the requested meta data
2. Automatically filling in the meta data details for the movie file itself
3. Inserting a covert art into the movie file itself
4. Downloading a cover art for the Windows file explorer folder

*It doesn't have to do all the above. Just most of them.

Possible Candidates:

1. MetaX
2. MP3Tag
3. Movie411
4. MyMovies
5. Media Center Master

I've done research and found the above. I haven't tried any of these so if anyone could let me know how they are, I'd greatly appreciate it. If there are other possible programs, please do let me know.

 

.meta extension file associated to an audio file

Hello,

I've three files: one .wav audio file and two other files, one with .meta extension and the other one with .crc extension.

The file .wav can be listen with an usual sound player.

About the .meta file: I think that it could be contain several other informations other than the usual ones the .wav file contains in its header.

It seems a binary file if inspected with an Hex editor.

Have you idea how to open the .meta file ?
