Windows 10: How do we find digital license when disk, which contain OS, is damaged

My HDD got damaged which previously preinstalled with windows 10 home from manufacture then i replaced it with SSD and installed it with windows 10 enterprise but for some reason i want to get back to my windows home.. Any possible way to do that? I'm not sure whether my windows 10 home is linked to my microsoft account or not. How to check it out?

Circumvent a digital license?

We bought a Dell Inspiron that shipped with Windows 10 Home installed and a digital license. I am trying to get Windows 10 Pro on it so I can join our domain. I've tried entering our legitimate Pro key, and I'm told it isn't valid. Anytime I try a clean install, it, as expected, skips the OS choice and goes right to Home. I have no option to pick.

I'm also struggling to find a Windows 10 Pro (only Pro) .iso.

So, any suggestions on how to get around this? I'd love to wipe the digital license clean, but I believe that's stored on the motherboard.

 

How does a Windows 10 'digital license' activate the OS?

Does MS digital license 'fingerprint' hardware information during the free upgrade / activation and store it (at Microsoft) , so that the next re-install queries MS for the fingerprint and activates Windows 10?

Thought the disk drive may change, I expect that none of the other fingerprinted hardware will change.
