Windows 10: How do you change assigned monitor numbers ?

This is the current state, I want the number 2 to be number 1. Let me clarify however:- I am NOT looking to swap positions of monitors/ dragging them around, this is their correct configuration- I am NOT looking to change the main display I simply want the assigned number to change due to some full screen software being badly coded and not remembering the configuration thus always launching in the wrong monitor monitor number 1.

If you're pertaining to making Acer screen as the monitor 1 and the other is 2, you can just have them interchanged by going following the steps below:

• Right-click on your desktop screen > Display settings.
• Under "Select and rearrange displays", just drag the monitor basing on your choice of number; then, click on "Apply" button after.

when i connect my duel displays (one Acer monitor and one Scepter TV) is assigns my acer as screen 2 and the Scepter as screen 1. how do i change the numbers windows 10 is assigning to each?

i am running a HP Z800 workstation with a Nvida 1050TI graphics card with windows 10 Pro

I finally got it to work no changing registry or anything. I went to nvidia control pannel. First I cloned it on NCP Then made 2 my primary in NCP then went back to win 10 advanced settings and chose extend these displays. I had to reset the resolution. but it worked. If these aren't the exact steps the then tinker with it you will get it.

It took me a couple tries to get it. but Nvidia Control Panel is the the key to fixing the issue. Final result extended display on hdmi connected tv and monitor is the primary.*Cool
