Windows 10: How do you duplicate the display on more than two monitors while extending the display on...

So for a frame of reference on why I'm asking this question, I'm a teacher. I have two displays that face me and no one else. One of the two displays is where I keep windows open that contain confidential information like grades and the other duplicates what I am showing the classroom on the monitors positioned around the room. There are a total of 5 displays in question. What I would like to do in a software only solution is have monitor A act as an extended desktop this is my confidential monitor while monitors C, D, and E duplicate monitor B. In other words, I want all the displays

Extending Monitor Display

I am using a television as a second monitor, but when I extend the display, it gives me a "not supported" box. The main monitor however is fine, but all the windows and icons disappear, and I am left with only the taskbar on the screen as if my main monitor has become the second monitor and the tv has become the main monitor, but I am unable to access anything on it as it is "not supported" and any window I try to open on the main monitor does not appear. I am able to duplicate the display just not extend it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, as well as changing the resolutions for the display while it is duplicated.

 

How to stop automatic duplicate/extend displays


Hello all! I'm using my Windows 10 laptop with a secondary external monitor which i want to use as a display, without the laptop's built-in display. The problem is, despite i set to show the image only on the secondary (external) monitor, after each restart or after i close the laptop's lid, it reverts to duplicating the image (or extends it, if select extend inside of duplicate). How can i stop this?? I have to manually reselect to show the image on the 2nd display only. Thanks!

 

Duplicating multiple Displays

I have been attempting to duplicate three displays. All displays are the same resolution, same refresh rate, same 8-bit color, etc.

All are connected to the same graphics card (Nvidia Quadro P620).

All are using a mini Display Port to HDMI converter with an HDMI cable running to each monitor.

The desktop can be extended to all displays, but there is no option to duplicate the desktop to all displays, only to display 1 and 2 or to 1 and 3.

Two of the displays are listed as Generic PNP Monitors. The other says what the display is actually named.

I have been attempting these options through Windows Display Settings.
