    How do you enable PUP detection engine on Windows Defender?


    How do you enable PUP detection engine on Windows Defender? I know that feature only exclusive for Windows 10 Pro, but I heard there's a trick to enable it on the home version as well.

    The first MBAM scan detected & quarantined PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs). If successive scans have detected nothing further, don't concern yourself with the manual MSRT scan results.

    If you (a) configure Defender such that it scans for PUPs (AKA PUAs/Adware), [1] (b) manually update Defender's Definitions via the Update button on the Update tab and then (c) run a Full scan, is anything detected & removed/quarantined?

    If you configure Windows Defender such that PUA/PUP/Adware Protection is enabled, is anything detected when you ran a full scan? cf.

    TIP: MBAM v3.0 was released earlier this week. It includes an anti-virus application which can provide realtime support (if you choose to enable same & purchase MBAM). cf.
