Windows 10: how do you enable the volume and brightness F keys

i have a victus gaming laptop and i downgraded it to windows 10 because of somthing that i dont like about windows 1 and the f keys have like small settings like volume and brightness but for some reason its not enabled and i dont know how to enable it.

Hi, There's a the slider for brightness at the bottom of the Action Centre (build 1903).

If you'd be prepared to consider an alternative... how about smooth control of brightness using your scroll wheel?
Press a key, plus scroll, and adjust your brightness.

The key and the steps are your choice.

Oh, and it can adjust volume similarly.

Works nicely on my Lenovo Thinkpad, where the Fn key steps for brightness are a bit harsh.

How to toggle between fn keys doing f1-f5 or brightness/volume

Hello,

I own an HP Envy Notebook PC (datasheet here: http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx/c04952229.pdf). At the moment, pressing the f1-f2 keys activates their secondary function, so for example turning the brightness/volume up/down. As an avid gamer, using the f-keys is beneficial sometimes, but the only way I can find to swap the f-keys from brightness/volume to the actual f-keys is by rebooting, going into the BIOS, and changing the configurations in there. Is there a simpler way to do it on my computer without having to restart?

 

"F" Keys

My keyboard doesn't have an "F-Lock" key, and whenever I press one of the F keys it always does the other function, example the volume up, down, and mute buttons are F1, F2, and F3, so I have to hold down the FN key to activate the F Keys. I want to know
if there's a toggle for it in settings, or a keyboard shortcut to disable the other functions like volume and screen brightness.
