Windows 10: How do you get back the old UWP app icons?

Discus and support How do you get back the old UWP app icons? in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; I tried using Allow sxs edge and it was great!     How do you get back the old UWP app icons?


    I tried using Allow sxs edge and it was great!

    But now I want to be able to restore the old UWP app icons...how do I do that?

    UWP app icons in Windows 10 build 14316 are corrupt

    As you can see, the Win32 app icons are completely fine, but all of the UWP app icons are corrupted. They almost appear as if they're running in some sort of safe mode.

    Any suggestions?

    I understand that you want to download the old Windows icons on your computer.



    I would like to inform you that with the new update of Mail and Calendar app the new icons are introduced. Since the apps are UWP apps, the option to change the icons is unavailable at the moment.

    How do you get back the old UWP app icons?

    Icons of Store UWP apps are not correctly displayed anywhere. How to fix this?

    Icons of UWP apps are not being shown correctly in the taskbar, app list in the Settings app and most other places. This problem started sometime ago with Windows 10 Anniversary update. I didn't do anything about it then. However the problem still persists
    after Creators update. Icons of normal applications are displayed correctly. Only the UWP app icons are affected. Any fix for this?
