  1. How do you prevent wsappx from going berserk like a crackhead when you give your computer...

I bought a new laptop with Windows 11 Home, I purchased a Pro upgrade. Windows is apparently incapable of updating the BIOS with a Pro license so on fresh install I only get Home with the Universal Installer. I have to connect to the internet and sign into the Store with my account to upgrade to the Pro I purchased. When I connect the laptop to the internet before I am even able to do that, wsappx goes berserk updating everything, I don't want it to do this. I want to upgrade to Pro first, then update everything that is missing after I make some adjustments to update behavior based on my group

    wsappx preventing windows from starting

Another video with task manager on the screen as well.

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Z9XD1b_sTj29nQsA5_kC61KQqIVqxryA/view?usp=sharing

I verified that I had done all of the steps in the referred links, the only thing that helps is disabling wsappx either through the registry or gpedit, or ending the wsappx task once Windows starts.

Something that may be helpful, as mentioned, when Windows starts there is 2-3 wsappx task running. When I force stop the "correct" one, I can then interact with Windows, but there is still 1 or 2 wsappx task running and I can operate as expected, even accessing Windows Store and XboxPCApp.

I'm now going to try and find out which is the correct wsappx that needs to be stopped.

Of the tasks I know, 2 are:

wsappx - ClipSVC Client License Service (ClipSVC) and wsappx AppXSvc AppX Deployment Service (AppXSVC) I do not know what the 3rd task is yet.

Were you going to reply to the steps I gave to try to neutralize wsappx in order to reduce it's startup impact? I spent almost an hour researching this for you.

    wsappx preventing windows from starting

HI VA. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, specializing in Installation, Performance, Troubleshooting and Activation, here to help you.

Wsappx has a history of causing high CPU and disk usage, this is the first case I can find of it blocking startup.

Let's try the known fixes to tame the app's CPU and disk usage to see if they fix the startup issue too. It may be a reach but it's worked on other anomalies before:
