    how do you restore Windows.old without restore point


    I had 3 trojan malware on my system. Our IT person is gone. I reset windows and have been working for 2 days to install the programs in office 365, but they are set up really funky and cannot get Outlook to function at all. I have both private and business accounts and neither downloads are functioning. It is EXTREMELY frustrating. I contacted Microsoft at noon yesterday and they were to call me back within the hour. It is 2 a.m. Can anyone help? I know it is risky but I want to put the Windows.old back as my primary and restore everything; however there is no restore point. I can see all of my stuff through Windows.old. Is this possible?

    windows xp duel boot with vista restore points

    Turn off system restore in XP altogether...or if you dont want to, AsRocks suggestion should work :\

    Windows XP PRO error after restore

    System restore is handy when it works like it did for me 2 days ago saving the need to reinstall all of my software as well as windows, id suggest using norton Ghost 12 for an excellent system restore feature.
