Windows 10: How do you set a custom timer for the power plan sleep mode in windows 11?

How do you set a custom timer for the power plan sleep mode in windows 11? When i'm installing or updating something large i usually do it while im sleeping or before i leave for work so i dont have it lagging my bandwidth and when i know it will take longer then 5 hours, which is the highest hour selection and when i don't want to pick Never. Thanks in advance for your time.

Custom Power Plan no longer working after update

Hello. After the most recent Windows update my custom power plan no longer functions properly, i.e., sleep mode will not engage. I had to delete it and use the default plan. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Please follow the below methods and check if it works,

Method 1: Power Troubleshoot.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with power. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Power.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
• Run the Power troubleshooter.

Method 2:

Please let us know whether you are able to see the sleep mode options by referring the following steps

1. In Search bar type Control panel

2. Select Power options

3. In power saver select change power settings and after that
select Change advanced power settings in that check whether you can see the
sleep mode.

Automatic Sleep timer doesn't work.

As you are facing issues with accessing the sleep mode on your computer, do not worry we will help you with this issue.

Provide us additional information to assist you better with this issue:

• What is the make and model of your computer?
• Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?

I would like to inform that Settings app is a built-in application for Windows 10 to make user interface easier as it helps us to access fewer Control Panel features.

This issue could have occurred due to incorrect power settings or corrupt power plan.
Try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps:

Method 1: I suggest you to run power troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Power troubleshooter find and fix problems with your computer's power settings to conserve power and extent battery life.

• Press Windows + X keys from the keyboard, click on
  Control Panel.
• In the Control Panel window, select Category and then select
  Large icons.
• Click on Troubleshooting.
• Click View all and then click Power.
• Click Next and follow on-screen instructions.

If the issue persists,

Method 2: I suggest you to
restore the power plans to default.

Follow the steps to reset and restore the power plans to default
and check if it helps:

• Right-click on Start button
  and click on Command Prompt (Admin).
• In the command prompt, type powercfg –restoredefaultschemes
  and hit Enter.
• Exit command prompt.

Note: This would reset the power plan settings to default. Any customized power plans are would be removed.

Method 3: I recommend you to install all the pending updates on your device and check if it helps.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.
