    How do you show multiple folders/icons open on the taskbar individually? Windows 11


    How do you show individual icons on the taskbar, for instance, when I have three excel spreadsheets open, how do you make the task bar show three excel icons at the same time? Using Windows 11I know you can click the icon and then select one of the spreadsheets - yes I get that, but I want to view multiple icons in the same app on the taskbar individually. I used to be able to do this with Windows 10, before upgrading to Windows 11.

    NIGHTMARE icon in windows taskbar

    Ok ... this is really an annoying thingy in Windows Vista that till today. My top wish list is to solve this !!! *Bang Head :banghead:*Bang Head :banghead:*Bang Head :banghead:*Bang Head :banghead:*Bang Head :banghead:

    See attached pic ... for eg. open My Computer ... icon is of course as shown - the My Computer default Vista icon ... after you browse? *swoosh* kind of black magic ... it changes to that icon with the green arrow ... browsing back to My Computer it remains like that ... with the green arrow!!!

    This happens to any and all folders ! ... When you load it ... it comes up with the default folder ... after exporing through folder it changes ... and remains like that.

    For info : have tried a fresh installation of Vista to make sure that no bug got in. So must be some DAMN Vista settings

    Taskbar Tray icon not showing

    Always a good idea to read Blog posts for the known issues.

    • [NEW] After upgrading to Build 22610, the “Show hidden icons” flyout in the system tray may disappear completely for some Insiders, even though it shows as “on” under Settings > Personalization > Taskbar and “Other system tray icons”. We are investigating the issue. As a workaround if you need access to the icons that would show in the “Show hidden icons” flyout, you can go right-click on taskbar to open the Taskbar settings page, navigate to the “Other system tray icons” and individuals toggle specific apps to “On” until the issue is resolved.

    • [NEW] After upgrading to Build 22610, the “Show hidden icons” flyout in the system tray may disappear completely for some Insiders, even though it shows as “on” under Settings > Personalization > Taskbar and “Other system tray icons”.
