Windows 10: How do you update a Microsoft Mouse Chip Driver?

I received a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 4000 for Christmas and plugged it in, and it says, Setting up Microsoft® Nano Transceiver v1.0. My brother has the same mouse, he has had it for over 4 years and yet it still has a newer version around 2.0. Is there any way I can update it?

The error Driver is unavailable means that there is no available driver installed for your mouse that’s why it is not working. We suggest that you check the mouse driver from the device manager. Follow the steps below:
